Arriving by Air:
The Kelowna International Airport (YLW) is approximately a one hour drive north of Penticton. For information regarding YLW's services visit: https://ylw.kelowna.ca
Approaching by Road from the North
- You will be on Highway 97 heading south, following along Okanagan Lake on the left, as Penticton is approached.
- The Highway will swoop left as Penticton is entered. Follow the flow of the traffic; the Highway becomes Eckhardt Avenue.
- Stay on Eckhardt Avenue. Six traffic lights in all will be gone through. The last light has you crossing Government Street. On the other side of this sixth traffic light the road veers left and becomes Haven Hill Road. Follow that short road until there is T-intersection (on the right will be a convenience store). Follow the main flow of traffic to the right. You are now on Johnson Road.
- Go along Johnson Road, which turns into Upper Bench Road about a mile (approx. 2-1/2 km), until getting to a stop sign. This is McMillan Avenue. Turn right. Almost immediately, Township 7 Winery will be on the right and a hill will be straight ahead. Go up the hill (instead of following the flow of the main road off to Naramata).
- You are now on Reservoir Road. Continue along Reservoir Road about a mile (approx. 2 or 2.5 kms). Keep an eye out for a "Spiller Road" sign on the left. Turn left.
- Almost there! Travel along Spiller Road about 2 kms . . . just after quite a rounded part of the road, Crooked Tree is the next driveway on the right. You'll see the big sign.
- Welcome to Crooked Tree - you made it!!!
Approaching by Road from the South
- You will be on Highway 97 heading north, following along Skaha Lake, as Penticton is approached.
- At the north end of Skaha Lake the highway continues, curving right and following the beach. Pass through the first traffic light; turn left at the second one. This is the Channel Parkway and the continuation of Provincial Route 97. You will be heading north again.
- Continue along and turn right at the third traffic light. This is Eckhardt Avenue; a Chevron Gas station will be on the north east corner.
- Follow Eckhardt Avenue, going through four traffic lights. The last light has you crossing Government Street. On the other side of this fourth traffic light the road veers left and becomes Haven Hill Road.
- Follow that short road until there is a T-intersection (on the right will be a convenience store). Follow the main flow of traffic to the right. You are now on Johnson Road.
- Go along Johnson Road, which turns into Upper Bench Road about a mile (approx. 2-1/2 km) until getting to a stop sign. This is McMillan Avenue. Turn right. What our guests are Saying
The suite was spacious, very comfortable and had great features like heated flooring and huge bathtub. Kitchen had all the basics and the host was very communicative and left lots of information about the place. The property was beautiful and very quiet. Everyone was wowed by the incredible view and the photographer for the wedding said it was one of the nicest "getting ready" locations they had been to.

A lovely, quiet mountainside aerie--beautifully appointed with easy access to the Naramata Bench wineries and Penticton. Our suite was private, spacious and comfortable, with Google mini for instant music, a furnished deck overlooking Okanagan Lake and friendly sheep guard dogs in a large corral keeping watch over the property. The walls were hung with some beautiful artworks, and all the furnishings and appliances thoughtfully chosen. Easy parking close to the door and detailed communication with the owners in advance of our arrival. Highly recommended.

We had the most relaxing stay at the Crooked Tree this past weekend. Wonderful hosts, beautiful house, a spectacular view, and a perfect location if you'd like to visit the Naramata Bench wineries. Our hosts took such wonderful care of us and made us feel really welcome. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed and more - everything was taken care of for us down to the smallest detail. The patio is definitely a highlight of this beautiful property and is perfect for lounging during the day to catch some rays, to have a family meal, and to watch the sun set over the mountains while drinking wine. Would absolutely recommend this beautiful gem! We are already planning our next visit.

We had a fantastic stay for 3 nights. The place was spotless, very comfortable and pretty much has everything you need plus more! The views are spectacular. It was our first visit to the area so wish we had more time to enjoy the place. Alix is super friendly. Thanks for hosting us.

From the availability of the host to answer questions and deal with a late check -in time to the wonderful view and comfortable accommodations, to the not so minor (for me) ability to bring along my dog with no fuss (and wonderful welcome, both two and four legged),I have nothing but good things to say about Crooked Tree Guest Suites! It was comfortable enough that I would love to come for a longer stay any time of year, and relaxed enough that I felt comfortable in every sense. The kitchen was a big plus so I could treat my mother to a special birthday lunch with a super view. I just can't say enough good things about our stay! Thanks Alix and Ken!
